Just Cavalli A/W 2013/14
I love this collection , its inspiring because i know where they have gotten their inspiration for the prints and motifs . For example on the bottom far right garment they have been inspired by a mongolian piece of art that i have found during my research aswell . This has showed me a whole new way of encorporating my patterns and animal spirit research together into my print .
This links to my theme because one; it is mongolian tribe inspired and two because the style is catwalk which is my style also .
Also on the bottom middle garment they have been inspired my mongolian buddhist god art work , i can tell because of the lotus flowers and the motif style .
Mongolian buddhist art
Mongolian art which inspired this garment
For this collection printing and fabric manipulation has been used . Asian tribe collars and decoration has also been applied to this collection . The print has been applied to stretchy and stiff farbric . The designer has used different patterns against eachother , clashing patterns are a big trend this year.
