This week we learned how to pattern cut a flared skirt , how to lenghen a skirt and how to shorten a skirt . We also learned how to make a circle skirt .

Flared Skirt ;
To make a flared skirt . You cut out a basic skirt from a block . And draw lines from the darts going straight down , and then cut them . You can add more lines if you like to add more flare and have more control over the angle of flare .
You must make sure that both back and front of skirt pattern are the same otherwise it wont look right .
then glue the pattern pieces down to pattern paper and add seme allowence , hem allowence and zip allowence where it is needed. Then cut out the new pattern and use on fabric .
