Chanel Designer Karl Lagerfeld designed a collection partly inspired by American Indian dress and cowboy dress .
Karl Lagerfeld was born in .......... and has been designing for Chanel since ........

He held the catwalk in Dallas .

Left ; These garments have both been influenced by cowboys and by Indians . The colour palette is mainly dull browns , faded blacks and creamy white .
This collection links to my project because it has been partly inspired by American Indians . I believe that the style board was made up of cowboy garments and the mood-board made up of American Indian patterns and garments. Because the garment shapes are 1700s style but with additional Indian tassels and patterns applied with techniques such as embroidery , knitting and printing . My opinion that this collection is based of Cowboys and Indians is backed up by 'The Daily Mail'. The Daily mail said;
 'Indian influence: In a potentially controversial move, Chanel sent out looks inspired by traditional Native American dress.'
